SatNav uses your location on the phone to follow the route and to recalculate when you leave it. The location stays on the phone until a search, a route or a stop lookup is sent.

A search is sent to this server and then to OpenStreetMap Nominatim. A route is sent with the truck height, width, length, weight, axle load, toll and motorway choices, and whether the load is hazardous, then to the Valhalla routing engine. Stop lookups go to the OpenStreetMap Overpass service. The satellite view loads Sentinel-2 imagery from EOX. The terrain view loads elevation from Mapterhorn.

Trucks, saved points, saved routes, language, voice and the map choice stay on the phone. If you create an account, those are also stored for that account, with the last 20 searches and any drive you choose to save. A saved drive stores the start point, the destination, the distance and the duration. It does not store the path driven. Position while navigating is not stored. The account is marked with no plan until a subscription exists. Logging in loads that account onto the phone.

Each install gets its own device id, stored with the platform, app version, language, time zone, screen size and the last time the app was opened. The same install keeps the same id, so it is not saved twice. Logging in links that device to the account. One account can be linked to more than one device, and those devices share the account.
